Cutter and sheath The Gerber cutter is made from a single piece of 3 mm steel with a rubber-coated handle. It’s fairly light and tiny, and a large cut-out serves as a finger-hole to keep the tool in control even with gloves on. The pommel has a lanyard hole and a glass breaker tip – which is often necessary in the same situations where you’d cut a seatbelt. The sheath has a MALICE clip for attaching to MOLLE/PALS webbing or just a belt (up to 50 mm / 2″ wide). In the modern world of micro-aggressions, it’s nice to notice that it’s symmetrical to serve southpaws as well.
